Applications for the Danish Music Academy 2022 will open in September 2021, and close December 2021. Invitations will be sent to participants in January 2022, as well as composition assignments for the composer participants (referred to as pre-written works below). Composer participants are expected to complete these assignments (both scores and parts) by May 2022.

In Februrary 2022, the repertoire pieces (pre-exisiting works from living composers) will be sent out to the performer participants to prepare before the start of the festival.

As well as these works, there wil be pieces created during the festival. 24 hour pieces will be jointly created by participants, visiting artists, and INU4, in groups assigned on the morning of day 2. These will be performed on day 3.

Composers will also be expected to create a fast-written work during the course. This will be assigned on day 3 and presented alongside their pre-written work in the concert on day 5.

From day 2 onwards there will be a daily open performance space where any participant can present anything of their own choosing in an informal setting.
